Accessibility.

We want everyone to be able to read Delete City. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we do.

Before every release, each type of page is checked automatically with axe-core against WCAG 2.2 A and AA, and tested for sideways scrolling at widths from 320 to 1,280 pixels. Pages work with a keyboard, have a skip link, use real headings and labelled navigation, and the site doesn't need JavaScript to read. Every season's league tables are also published as data (CSV).

What we know isn't right yet.

Wide tables scroll sideways on phones. The transfer explorer's charts need JavaScript; without it you get plain tables, and a link to a particular view opens at the top of the page. Some social-card images show text that their description leaves out; the same words are always on the page. The site hasn't yet been tested with disabled users or across screen readers, and we'd like to do that.
